About us

Principal Financial Planner Mary Campbell founded Gold Leaf Financial Services to help people manage their finances, feel more financially secure, reduce stress on relationships and improve their quality of life.  In fact, research shows clients who receive professional ongoing financial planning advice have greater levels of overall personal happiness, more peace of mind, increased feelings of security, and better health outcomes.(1)

We provide quality strategic financial advice to help people reach their dreams, look after their families and support causes they care about.

Financial Education

We help our clients learn more about money and how the financial world works so they can feel confident about their finances and make better financial decisions.  We also provide financial educational seminars to workplaces and community groups.  Improved financial literacy leads to improved emotional, vocational and physical health, greater satisfaction in life and better relationships.(2)  For great general advice, calculators and information about anything to do with money we recommend you visit the Australian Government Moneysmart website.

Our approach

Your hopes and dreams for the future as well as your values become the foundation of your financial plan.  We analyse your finances and options, and develop financial strategies that help you achieve what is important to you in life.  This means finding a balance so you can enjoy life now and in the future.

We work with people of all ages who care about people and nature.  Based in Melbourne, we assist clients across Australia.

No Regrets

Money can help facilitate your goals and allow you to spending time on what is meaningful in your life.  Ideally, this can help you to lead to a life without regrets.  Gold Leaf founder Mary Campbell has worked with charities helping people living with illness and disability, and helping people who are dying come to terms with their situation and improve their quality of life.  We recommend reading the article Top five regrets of the dying.  Through considering our own mortality, insights can be gained on life.

Ethical Investment

Everyone should have the choice in what they would like to support or avoid with their investments and superannuation, consistent with their own personal values.  Through making choices with our money, we can move money away from companies causing damage to people and the planet, and support organisations providing solutions such as education, healthcare, recycling and renewable energy.

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world; indeed it is the only thing that ever has.”
Margaret Mead

We take a stewardship approach to investing our client’s money, making sure all recommendations for investments and superannuation are financially sound as well as meeting our client’s goals.

As members of society we are all stewards for the next generation and by assisting our clients to invest in companies with sustainable environmental, social and governance approaches we help create a positive future for all our grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mandy and Scott's vineyard dream

Mandy and Scott always dreamed of buying a block of land not far from Melbourne with vineyards and starting a boutique winery.  They wanted to be close to nature and grow organic fruit and vegetables for their family.  A few years ago, Mandy received an early inheritance of $150,000 from her Grandma and she wanted to grow this money as a deposit on the vineyard.

They met with a Gold Leaf Financial adviser who recommended an investment portfolio in a range of assets such as shares, bonds and listed property, that was in line with their values and that would grow over time.  She also recommended they add their savings of $900 per fortnight into the investment and when they received bonuses at work, use part of the bonus as a holiday and add part of the bonus into the investment portfolio.

By investing a regular amount each fortnight, they were surprised at how quickly their investment grew.  They are now on track to having $400,000 to make their vineyard dream a reality.
